Information

Rooms & stay

Hotel De Gulden Leeuw currently has 9 hotel rooms, suitable for solo travellers, couples and families. Our rooms are located in the characteristic main building, right in the historic centre of Workum.

Breakfast is served à la carte daily from 08:00 to 09:30.

For lunch and dinner, you will find a variety of restaurants and cafés on the market square and in the immediate surroundings, all within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Our team speaks Dutch, English, German and, of course, Frysk.

Expansion in 2027

De Gulden Leeuw is being expanded with 10 new hotel rooms, bringing the hotel to a total of 19 rooms. Some of the new rooms will be located on the ground floor.

The design takes the different needs of our guests into account. The new accommodation will include a wheelchair-accessible room, a family room, as well as rooms where guests can bring their pets.

Construction work has already started. Our aim is to have the new rooms available from July 2027.
